Using time watermark feature on ClonerAlliance UHD Halo

The ClonerAlliance UHD Halo can embed a time watermark (timestamp) directly into your recorded video. This article explains how to enable and use this feature.

  2. Navigate to Record Settings.

  3. Find the Time Watermark option.

Watermark Details

  • Display position: Upper-right corner of the recorded video.

  • Format: YYYY/MM/DD HH:MM:SS (e.g., 2026/02/03 14:35:20)

  • Content: The watermark displays the system time at the moment of recording.

  • Permanence: The time watermark is permanently burned into the video file and cannot be removed after recording.

Prerequisites

  • The system time on the UHD Halo must be set correctly before recording. An incorrect system time will result in an inaccurate watermark.

  • To verify or update the system time, navigate to Menu → System Settings → System Time.

Use Cases

  • Evidence recording — Embed a timestamp for documentation or legal purposes.

  • Time-stamped logging — Record events with an automatic time reference.

  • Content organization — Quickly identify when a video was recorded by viewing the watermark.

Note

The time watermark is applied during the recording process and is baked into the video file. It cannot be edited or removed using video editing software without visible artifacts.
