Special Cases & Limitations

Interlaced Video Handling:

  • 1080i60 → Deinterlaced to 1080p30

  • 1080i50 → Deinterlaced to 1080p25

Unsupported Resolutions:

  • 4K@120fps is NOT supported

  • When a 4K@120fps source is connected: - Device will attempt to negotiate down to 4K@60fps - If negotiation fails, “No Signal” will be displayed

Warning

For 4K@120fps sources, set the source device to output 4K@60fps before connecting to UHD Halo.

Frame Rate Matching:

  • Recording frame rate can match input or be set manually

  • For best quality, use native source frame rates

  • PAL regions: 25fps/50fps

  • NTSC regions: 24fps/30fps/60fps

For Gaming:

For Mobile Devices:

  • Type-C Input: Typically 1080p@60fps or 4K@30fps

  • Recording: Match input resolution

  • Enables screen recording with charging

For Content Creation:

  • Input: 4K@60fps from camera/HDMI source

  • Recording: 4K@60fps with H.265 codec for space efficiency

  • Ensures highest quality capture
