Why does Windows or macOS show a security prompt when I run MP4Fix?¶
MP4Fix is digitally signed by CLONER ALLIANCE LIMITED. Because it is a newly published release, your system may still show a caution message the first few times you run it, until it becomes widely recognized. This is normal for new software.
Windows SmartScreen¶
If SmartScreen shows “Windows protected your PC”:
Click More info.
Click Run anyway.
To confirm the publisher first, right-click the .exe file, choose Properties, open the Digital Signatures tab, and confirm the signer reads CLONER ALLIANCE LIMITED.
macOS Gatekeeper¶
If macOS reports that the file “cannot be opened because it is from an unidentified developer”, do either of the following:
Right-click (or Control-click) the file, choose Open, then click Open in the dialog.
Or run this once in Terminal:
xattr -d com.apple.quarantine ./mp4fix-macos
Antivirus Software¶
Some antivirus tools may hold a newly downloaded file for a short review on first use. If that happens, add the folder containing MP4Fix to your antivirus exclusion list, or contact us at support@cloner-alliance.com and we will help.
