How to use pause and resume recording on ClonerAlliance UHD Halo?¶
The ClonerAlliance UHD Halo supports pausing and resuming a recording, allowing you to skip unwanted segments without creating separate files. This article explains how to use this feature.
How to Pause a Recording¶
Start a recording by pressing the REC button.
During an active recording, press the PAUSE button on the remote control.
The recording will pause. The side LED will stop flashing and remain solid, indicating the paused state.
How to Resume a Recording¶
While the recording is paused, press the PAUSE button on the remote control again.
The recording will resume from where it was paused.
The side LED will resume flashing, indicating that recording is active again.

File Behavior¶
The paused and resumed segments are saved as a single continuous file. No separate files are created for each segment.
The file duration reflects only the actual recorded time, excluding the paused period.
There is no limit on how long you can keep the recording paused.
You can pause and resume multiple times within a single recording session.
Practical Use Cases¶
Game recording — Pause during cutscenes or loading screens and resume when gameplay resumes.
Skipping unwanted content — Pause during breaks or irrelevant segments and resume when desired.
Temporary interruptions — If you need to step away briefly, pause the recording and resume later without starting a new file.
Note
To permanently stop the recording (and finalize the file), press the REC button instead of PAUSE. Pressing REC will end the recording and save the file.
