Prerequisites

Before setting up scheduled recording, ensure the following:

  • System time is correct: Navigate to Menu → System Settings → System Time and verify the date and time. An accurate system clock is essential for scheduled recording to work properly.

  • Time zone is set: Verify your time zone under Menu → System Settings → Time Zone.

  • Storage device is connected: Insert a USB device or TF card and confirm it is recognized (side LED lights up).

  • Video source is connected: Connect your HDMI or Type-C source device.

How to Add a Scheduled Recording Task

  1. Press MENU on the remote control to open the main menu.

  2. Navigate to Schedule Recording.

  3. Select Add to create a new recording task.

  4. Configure the following parameters:

    • Start Time — Set the date and time when the recording should begin.

    • End Time — Set the date and time when the recording should stop.

    • Repeat — Choose the repeat mode:

      • Once — Record one time only.

      • Daily — Repeat the recording every day at the same time.

      • Weekdays — Repeat on Monday through Friday.

      • Weekends — Repeat on Saturday and Sunday.

    • Storage Device — Select the target storage device (USB or TF card) if both are connected.

  5. Press OK to save the scheduled task.

Managing Scheduled Tasks

  • View tasks: Open Menu → Schedule Recording to see all scheduled recording tasks.

  • Edit tasks: Select an existing task and choose Edit to modify its settings.

  • Delete tasks: Select a task and choose Delete to remove it.

The UHD Halo supports multiple scheduled recording tasks simultaneously.

How Scheduled Recording Works

  • At the scheduled start time, the UHD Halo will automatically begin recording from the connected video source.

  • At the scheduled end time, the recording will automatically stop and the file will be saved to the selected storage device.

  • If the device is in standby mode, it will wake up automatically at the scheduled start time.

Note

Ensure that the video source device is powered on and outputting a signal before the scheduled start time. If no signal is detected at the start time, the recording may begin with a black or blank frame.
