Which recordings can MP4Fix optimize?

MP4Fix optimizes MP4 recordings made by the ClonerAlliance UHD Halo. It is designed specifically for these recordings and leaves every other file alone.

What Happens to Each File

File

What MP4Fix does

A recording not yet optimized

Optimized when you run mp4fix optimize

A recording already optimized

Reported as ALREADY OPTIMAL and left unchanged

Any other video or file

Reported as SKIPPED and always left untouched

Older Recordings

Recordings from any date are supported. Files you recorded months or years ago, long before MP4Fix was released, can be optimized just the same.

Running on a Whole Library

Because already-optimal files and non-UHD-Halo files are recognized and skipped automatically, it is safe to run MP4Fix over an entire folder, or directly on the memory card while it is connected to your computer:

.\mp4fix-windows-x64.exe optimize -r "E:\Videos"

Note

If you are not sure what a folder contains, run mp4fix check on it first - it only reads your files and shows what would be done. See How to check recordings with MP4Fix?.
