How to configure settings in RecDual Link App?¶
RecDual Link App provides a graphical interface for configuring your RecDual Dongle settings. No need to manually edit configuration files - all settings can be adjusted through the app.
Prerequisites¶
RecDual Link App is activated and bound to your device
RecDual Dongle is connected and not recording
App has root directory access for full configuration capabilities
Accessing Device Configuration¶
Open RecDual Link App.
Go to the Dashboard.
Tap the Configuration or Settings icon.
You’ll see all configurable device parameters.
Recording Settings¶
Recording Quality
You can adjust:
Resolution: Set output video resolution (up to 1080p@60fps)
Bitrate: Adjust video quality (higher bitrate = better quality, larger files)
Frame rate: Configure frames per second
Loop Recording
Enable/Disable: Turn loop recording on or off
How it works: When TF card is full, oldest files are automatically overwritten
Best for: Continuous recording, surveillance, dashcam-style use
Signal Loss Handling
Configure what happens when video signal is lost:
Stop recording: Recording stops when signal is lost
Continue waiting: Recording pauses and resumes when signal returns
Time Settings¶
Auto Time Sync
When you save configuration, the device time automatically syncs with your phone or computer.
This ensures accurate timestamps on your recordings.
Timezone
Set your local timezone for correct file timestamps.
App Settings¶
Access app settings by tapping the gear icon on the home screen.
Appearance
Theme: Choose between Light Mode, Dark Mode, or Follow System
Language: Switch between English, Chinese, and other supported languages
Device Management
View authorized devices: See the list of devices using your SN
Unbind device: Remove current device binding
Deactivate authorization: Remove this phone/computer from the authorized list
Storage & Data
Reset binding permissions: Change the authorized folder path
Clear app cache: Reset app status (warning: clears all local settings)
About
App version: Check current app version
Check for updates: Manually check for app updates
Export logs: Save diagnostic logs for troubleshooting
Saving Configuration¶
After making changes:
Review your settings.
Tap Save or Apply.
Wait for the confirmation message.
Important: Configuration takes effect after device restart.
Important
After saving configuration:
Wait 10 seconds for settings to write to the device.
Disconnect the RecDual Dongle.
Reconnect or power cycle the device to apply changes.
Auto-Generated Configuration¶
If you insert a brand new TF card with no existing configuration:
The app will automatically generate default configuration files.
This ensures your device works immediately without manual setup.
You can then customize settings as needed.
