Can I rename recorded files on ClonerAlliance UHD Halo

The UHD Halo does not support renaming files directly on the device. However, you can safely rename recorded files on a PC, and you can set a custom file name prefix before recording to organize your files more easily.

Renaming Files on a PC

After transferring your recorded files to a computer, you can rename them using the file manager as you would with any other file. The video content and playback quality will not be affected.

Setting a Custom File Name Prefix

You can configure a custom prefix for all recorded files in advance:

  1. Open the OSD menu: MenuRecord SettingsFile NameCustom.

  2. Enter your desired prefix (e.g., GameClip, Tutorial, Meeting).

  3. Confirm and exit the menu.

File Naming Options

When a custom prefix is set, the file name format becomes CustomPrefix_0001.mp4 (with Index) or CustomPrefix_20250730_143000.mp4 (with System Time).

Recommendations

  • Set a meaningful file name prefix before starting a recording session to make files easier to identify later.

  • Use the System Time naming option if you need to track when each recording was made.
