System requirements for RecDual Link App¶
Before installing RecDual Link Application, ensure your device meets the following requirements.
Android Requirements¶

Important Notes for Android:
OTG must be enabled: Many Android phones have OTG disabled by default. Check Settings > Connected devices or search “OTG” in settings.
USB cable: Use a data-capable USB-C cable, not a charging-only cable.
Storage permissions: Grant full storage access for best compatibility.

Network Requirements¶
RecDual Link requires internet connectivity for:
Initial activation: One-time SN verification
Periodic verification: Every 7 days to maintain activated status
Firmware updates: Downloading new firmware versions
App updates: Checking and downloading app updates
After activation, most features work offline for up to 7 days (168 hours).
USB Cable Requirements¶
For reliable connection:
Use data transfer cables, not charging-only cables
USB-C to USB-C recommended for best compatibility
USB-C to USB-A requires USB 3.0 port for optimal speed
Avoid extension cables or hubs if experiencing connection issues
Checking OTG Support (Android)¶
To verify your Android device supports OTG:
Go to Settings > Connected devices or Connections
Look for OTG, USB OTG, or USB host option
Enable if available
Alternatively:
Search “OTG” in your phone’s settings search bar
If no results, your phone may not support OTG
Tip
If your phone doesn’t show an OTG option, it may be automatically enabled. Try connecting your RecDual Dongle directly to test.
