Audio mixing options on ClonerAlliance UHD Halo

The ClonerAlliance UHD Halo supports mixing multiple audio sources simultaneously during recording. This article explains the available sources, volume controls, and practical mixing scenarios.

Audio Sources

The following audio sources can be mixed together:

  • HDMI Embedded Audio — Audio carried within the HDMI signal from the source device (e.g., game console, set-top box).

  • LINE IN (3.5mm) — External audio from devices such as music players, phones, or audio equipment.

  • MIC (3.5mm) — Audio from a connected microphone for commentary or narration.

Volume Controls

Each audio source has an independent volume control ranging from 0 to 100. Navigate to MenuAudio Settings to adjust the following:

To use a single audio source only, set the volume of all other sources to 0.

Practical Mixing Scenarios

Game Recording with Commentary

  • Sources: HDMI (game audio) + MIC (commentary)

  • Adjust Video-In Volume and Mic In Volume to achieve a balanced mix.

Game Recording with Background Music

  • Sources: HDMI (game audio) + LINE IN (background music from a phone or player)

  • Connect the audio output of your music device to the LINE IN port and adjust volumes accordingly.

Full Audio Mix: Game + Background Music + Commentary

  • Sources: HDMI (game audio) + LINE IN (background music) + MIC (commentary)

  • Adjust all three volume levels independently for the desired result.

Commentary Only

  • Set Video-In Volume and Line In Volume to 0, and adjust Mic In Volume as needed.

Audio Monitoring

Connect headphones or external speakers to the LINE OUT (3.5mm) port to monitor the mixed audio in real time during recording.
