Can I charge my phone while recording with UHD Halo

Yes. The ClonerAlliance UHD Halo provides up to 65W Power Delivery (PD) charging through the same USB Type-C cable used for video input. Your phone or tablet can charge and be recorded at the same time.

How It Works

  • When a phone or tablet is connected via USB Type-C, the UHD Halo simultaneously delivers video output and PD charging power through the same cable.

  • The charging power is automatically adjusted based on the device’s requirements — no manual configuration is needed.

Does Charging Affect Recording Quality?

  • No. Simultaneous charging does not affect the recording resolution, framerate, or quality in any way.

  • The UHD Halo handles video capture and power delivery independently.

Benefits

  • Unlimited recording duration — By charging the phone during recording, you no longer need to worry about the battery running out mid-session.

  • Single-cable setup — Both video output and charging are handled through one Type-C cable, keeping the setup simple and clean.

Supported Devices

  • The 65W PD charging is compatible with phones and tablets that support USB Power Delivery (PD) charging.

  • Devices that do not support PD charging may still receive standard 5V charging at a lower wattage.

Note

Some phones may display a “Moisture detected” warning when first connected. This is a normal phenomenon and does not affect functionality. See Why does my phone show “Moisture detected” when connected to UHD Halo for details.
