How to record videos to TF card with ClonerAlliance UHD Halo?¶
This article explains how to record videos to a TF (MicroSD) card using the ClonerAlliance UHD Halo.
TF Card Requirements¶
Speed class: Class 10 or higher. U3 / V30 or above is strongly recommended for 4K recording.
Capacity: 64GB or higher recommended.
File system: exFAT (recommended) or FAT32. Note that FAT32 limits individual files to 4GB.
How to Insert¶
Locate the TF card slot on the UHD Halo.
Insert the TF card in the correct orientation (label side up, contacts facing down) as indicated by the slot markings.
The side LED will turn blue (solid) once the card is recognized.
Note
If the side LED does not light up, remove and reinsert the TF card. If still not detected, try formatting it to exFAT on a PC and reinserting. See TF card not detected on ClonerAlliance UHD Halo - what should I do for troubleshooting.
How to Record¶
Connect a video source (HDMI or Type-C) to the UHD Halo.
Confirm the TF card is recognized (side LED blue).
Press the REC button on the device or remote control.
The side LED will begin flashing blue, indicating that the recording is in progress.
Press REC again to stop the recording.
Where Are the Recorded Files Saved?¶
Recorded files are saved to the root directory of the TF card.
Storage Priority¶
If both a USB storage device and a TF card are inserted at the same time, the OSD will prompt you to choose which storage device to record to. The selection applies to the current recording session.
