TF card not detected on ClonerAlliance UHD Halo - what should I do

If the UHD Halo does not recognize your TF card, the side LED will not light up blue. Follow the steps below to troubleshoot and resolve the issue.

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. Re-insert the TF card — Remove the TF card and insert it again, making sure it clicks into place securely.

  2. Check the card orientation — Ensure the TF card is inserted in the correct direction. Inserting it backwards will prevent detection.

  3. Clean the metal contacts — Gently clean the gold contacts on the TF card with a soft dry cloth to remove any dust or debris.

  4. Test the TF card on a PC — Insert the TF card into a card reader and connect it to a computer to verify it is readable.

  5. Format the TF card — Format the card to exFAT using a PC. See Storage device formatting guide for ClonerAlliance UHD Halo for formatting instructions.

  6. Try a different TF card — If the issue persists, the TF card may be incompatible or damaged.

TF Card Compatibility

  • The UHD Halo supports large-capacity TF cards with no theoretical upper limit.

  • For stable 4K recording, use a TF card rated U3 / V30 or above to ensure sufficient write speed.

  • The TF card should be inserted directly into the UHD Halo’s TF card slot — no adapter is needed.

Note

If the TF card works on a PC but is not detected by the UHD Halo, try reformatting it to exFAT and re-inserting it.
