Connection

  1. Connect a video source to the UHD Halo HDMI IN port.

  3. The PC will automatically recognize the UHD Halo as a UVC capture device – no drivers are required.

USB Speed and Resolution

The UHD Halo OSD will display the USB connection speed on the HDMI OUT output:

  • USB 2.0 High Speed – Standard connection speed.

  • USB 3.0 Super Speed – Faster connection, recommended for smoother capture.

The maximum UVC capture resolution is 1080p@60fps, regardless of the input resolution.

Note

The UVC output is limited to 1080p@60fps. If you need 4K recording, use the standalone recording feature with a USB or TF card storage device instead.

Recording on PC

Use any compatible recording or streaming software on your PC, such as:

  • OBS Studio (free, recommended)

  • ClonerAlliance Helper (if available)

  • Other USB capture-compatible recording software

Steps:

  1. Open your recording software.

  2. Add a Video Capture Device source.

  3. Select ClonerAlliance UHD Halo from the device list.

  4. Set the desired resolution and frame rate (up to 1080p@60fps).

  5. Start recording or streaming.

Latency

The end-to-end latency from the video source to the UVC capture output on the PC is approximately 34ms. This makes the UHD Halo suitable for live streaming scenarios.

Simultaneous Recording

You can record to PC via UVC and simultaneously record to a local storage device (USB or TF card) at the same time. The standalone recording uses the full input resolution (up to 4K@60fps), while the UVC output to PC remains at 1080p@60fps.
