Connection

  1. Connect a video source to the UHD Halo HDMI IN port.

  2. Use the included Type-C cable to connect the UHD Halo Type-C port to your PC.

  3. The PC will automatically recognize the UHD Halo as a UVC capture device – no drivers are required.

USB Speed and Resolution

The UHD Halo OSD will display the USB connection speed on the HDMI OUT output:

  • USB 2.0 High Speed – Standard connection speed.

  • USB 3.0 Super Speed – Faster connection, recommended for smoother capture.

The maximum UVC capture resolution is 3840x2160@60(USB3.0, MJPG); 2560x1440(USB2.0), regardless of the input resolution.

Recording on PC

Use any compatible recording or streaming software on your PC, such as:

  • OBS Studio (free, recommended)

  • ClonerAlliance Helper (if available)

  • Other USB capture-compatible recording software

Steps:

  1. Open your recording software.

  2. Add a Video Capture Device source.

  3. Select ClonerAlliance UHD Halo from the device list.

  4. Set the desired resolution and frame rate (up to 3840x2160@60 for USB3.0, or 2560x1440 for USB2.0).

  5. Start recording or streaming.

Latency

The end-to-end latency from the video source to the UVC capture output on the PC is approximately 34ms. This makes the UHD Halo suitable for live streaming scenarios.

Simultaneous Recording

You can record to PC via UVC and simultaneously record to a local storage device (USB or TF card) at the same time. The standalone recording uses the full input resolution (up to 4K@60fps), while the UVC output to PC can reach up to 3840x2160@60(USB3.0, MJPG); 2560x1440(USB2.0).
