Compatible Mobile Devices for RecDual Dongle¶
RecDual Dongle can record from mobile devices that support DisplayPort Alt Mode over USB Type-C. This page lists compatible smartphones and tablets.
Important
The device must support DP (DisplayPort) protocol through its Type-C port. Not all Type-C devices support video output.

Tip
How to verify DP support on your device:
Connect your device to RecDual Dongle via Type-C
If your device supports DP, it will be recognized as an external display
The RecDual Dongle SWITCH LED will light up blue when DP signal is detected
Special Considerations¶
Audio Behavior
When recording from mobile devices via Type-C DP:
The device’s built-in speaker will be disabled (DP takes over the audio channel)
Audio is still recorded to the video file
To hear audio during recording, connect headphones to the AUX port or use HDMI passthrough to a TV
Simultaneous Charging
RecDual Dongle supports 66W PD fast charging while recording
Connect a PD-compatible power adapter to the Type-C PWR port
Your mobile device will charge while being recorded
Warning
RecDual Dongle’s PWR port only supports PD protocol. Devices using only QC (Quick Charge) protocol may not charge through the PWR port.
