Understanding LED Indicators on RecDual Dongle

RecDual Dongle uses LED indicators to communicate device status. Understanding these indicators helps you operate the device effectively and troubleshoot issues.

SWITCH Button LED

The LED inside the SWITCH button indicates the current video source and signal status.

SWITCH Button LED Status

Color	State	Meaning
Green	Solid	HDMI source selected, signal detected
Green	Blinking	HDMI source selected, no signal detected
Blue	Solid	Type-C DP source selected, signal detected
Blue	Blinking	Type-C DP source selected, no signal detected

Quick Reference:

• Green = HDMI mode

• Blue = DP mode

• Solid = Signal detected

• Blinking = No signal

REC/STOP Button LED

The LED inside the REC/STOP button indicates the TF card status and recording status.

REC/STOP Button LED Status

Color	State	Meaning
Off		No TF card inserted
Green	Solid	TF card recognized, ready to record
Green	Blinking	Recording in progress
Blue	Solid	TF card is full (cannot record)

Quick Reference:

• Off = No TF card

• Solid Green = Ready to record

• Blinking Green = Recording

• Solid Blue = Storage full

Ready to Record HDMI Source:

• SWITCH LED: Solid Green

• REC LED: Solid Green

Recording from HDMI:

• SWITCH LED: Solid Green

• REC LED: Blinking Green

Ready to Record Type-C DP Source:

• SWITCH LED: Solid Blue

• REC LED: Solid Green

Recording from Type-C DP:

• SWITCH LED: Solid Blue

• REC LED: Blinking Green

Storage Full:

• REC LED: Solid Blue (recording will stop)

Troubleshooting with LEDs

Problem: REC LED is off

• Solution: Insert a TF card

Problem: SWITCH LED is blinking

• Solution: Check video source connection; ensure device is outputting video

Problem: REC LED is solid blue

• Solution: TF card is full; delete old files or replace with a new card

Problem: Both LEDs are off

• Solution: Ensure power is connected (for HDMI recording) or Type-C DP device is connected
