Basic recording operations with ClonerAlliance UHD Halo

This guide covers the fundamental recording operations available on the ClonerAlliance UHD Halo.

Starting a Recording

  1. Connect a video source to the UHD Halo (HDMI IN or Type-C).

  2. Insert a storage device (USB or TF card) and confirm it is recognized (side LED lights up).

  3. Press the REC button on the device or on the remote control.

  4. The side LED will begin flashing, indicating that recording is in progress.

Stopping a Recording

Press the REC button again (on the device or remote control) to stop the recording. The file will be saved to the connected storage device automatically.

Pausing and Resuming

  • Pause: Press the PAUSE button on the remote control during an active recording.

  • Resume: Press PAUSE again to continue recording.

  • The paused and resumed segments are saved as a single file.

Taking a Snapshot

Press the SNAPSHOT button on the device or the remote control at any time to capture a still image of the current video source. The snapshot is saved as a JPG file on the connected storage device.

Storage Selection

If both a USB device and a TF card are connected simultaneously, the OSD will prompt you to select the target storage device before recording begins.

  • USB storage: Side LED turns green.

  • TF card: Side LED turns blue.

Note

For 4K@60fps recording with high bitrate (50Mbps), a USB 3.0 storage device or a high-speed TF card (U3/V30 or higher) is recommended to avoid recording interruptions.
