Recording time limits on ClonerAlliance UHD Halo

The ClonerAlliance UHD Halo has no built-in time limit on recording duration. However, several practical factors may affect how long a continuous recording can last.

Factors That Affect Recording Duration

  1. Storage space — Recording will stop when the storage device runs out of space. The available recording time depends on the storage capacity and the selected recording bitrate.

  2. File Size setting — If the File Size option is set to a specific value (e.g., 4 GB, 16 GB, or 2 Hours), the file will automatically split into segments at that limit. Recording continues into the next segment without interruption.

  3. Device power — If you are recording from a mobile device via USB Type-C, the device battery will drain unless it is being charged simultaneously by the UHD Halo’s 65W PD output.

Long Recording Support

  • The UHD Halo supports continuous long-duration recording as long as sufficient storage space is available.

  • When the File Size is set to Unlimited, a single file can be up to 32 GB (on exFAT or NTFS).

  • Loop Recording can be enabled to automatically overwrite the oldest files when the storage device is full, allowing indefinite recording.

Recommendations

  • For 4K@60fps recording, prepare a high-capacity storage device (128 GB or more) to ensure adequate recording time.

  • For very long recording sessions (e.g., lectures, livestreams, or surveillance), enable Loop Recording and use a large storage device.

  • Monitor the remaining storage space periodically to avoid unexpected recording stops.
